The Annexx Privacy Policy  

Introduction

This Privacy and Data Protection Notice explains how the Annexx Hair Salon looks after personal information you give us or that we learn by having you as a client, and the choices you make about marketing communications you agree we may send you.

We take privacy seriously and only use the information we collect to provide our services.  

We do not share or sell the information we collect for any purpose other than providing the services and treatments of the Annexx Hair Salon.

What Information we collect about you

We collect information about you when you book an appointment for a service or treatment, visit the salon for a service or treatment or buy a product, whether contact is online, on paper, by email or over the phone.

The information you give us may include your name, address, email address, phone number, relevant history which may suggest that a service or treatment should not go ahead, or certain products should not be used (eg. allergies, pregnancy, skin conditions), payment and transaction information and IP address.

For clients under the age of 13 we will keep and use their personal information only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

We will contact you by phone, email or SMS to confirm appointments booked and to remind you of future appointments as a service to you but you may opt out by contacting the salon.

After visiting us we may send you an email or SMS asking you to rate our services and provide feedback. We consider your agreement and participation in the service as consent to undertake this activity but, if you want, you may opt out at any time.

Access to your Information

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you. This will normally be free, unless we deem the request to be unfounded or excessive, in which case we may charge a fee to cover our administrative costs.

How Information about you will be used

In law, we are allowed to use personal information, including sharing it outside the salon, only if we have a proper reason to do so, for example:

To fulfil a contract with you, ie. to provide the service or treatment you have requested and to communicate with you about your appointments
When it is in our legitimate interest, ie, there is a business or commercial reason to do so, unless this is outweighed by your rights or interests
When you consent to it. We will always ask for your consent to hold and use health and medical information

Our website provider

We will not share your information with any other third party without your consent except to help prevent fraud or if required to do so by Law.

How long will your Information be kept

After a year if you have not visited the salon we will delete all your personal information, except for your name and relevant client history.

Marketing

We would like to send you information about products and services which may be of interest to you. We will ask, or have already asked for your consent to receive marketing information. If you have consented to receiving marketing information, you may opt out at a later date.

Website Use

If you use the website to make a booking online, your data is gathered and treated in the same way as making an appointment in the salon or over the phone.

Cookies

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet information and visitor behaviour information. This is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity.

You can set your browser not to accept cookies. However, in a few cases, some of our website features may not function as a result.

While we endeavour to ensure that the contents of our website are accurate, errors and omissions may occur and we do not accept any liability in respect of them. Any links provided on our website are for your convenience but their inclusion does not imply any endorsement by us. We have no control over these sites and accept no responsibility or liability in respect of them. Sending information via the internet is not completely secure. However we will do our best to protect your information and prevent unauthorised access.

Google Analytics collects information such as how often users access the Site, what pages they visit when they do so, etc. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve our Site and services. Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit sites, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this Site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.

Third party collection of information

Our policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent you disclose your information to other parties or sites throughout the internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. Accordingly, we encourage you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of each third party that you choose to disclose information to. 

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals whom we do not employ or manage, including any of the third parties which we may disclose information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. 

Marketing

We may use your Personal Information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, etc. ourselves or by using our third party subcontractors for the purpose of providing you with promotional materials, concerning our services, which we believe may interest you.  

Out of respect to your right to privacy we provide you within such marketing materials with means to decline receiving further marketing offers from us. If you unsubscribe we will remove your email address or telephone number from our marketing distribution lists. 

Please note that even if you have unsubscribed from receiving marketing emails from us, we may send you other types of important e-mail communications without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them. These may include customer service announcements or administrative notices.

Corporate transaction

We may share information in the event of a corporate transaction (e.g. sale of a substantial part of our business, merger, consolidation or asset sale). In the event of the above, the transferee or acquiring company will assume the rights and obligations as described in this Privacy Policy.

Updates or amendments to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to periodically amend or revise the Privacy Policy; material changes will be effective immediately upon the display of the revised Privacy policy. The last revision will be reflected in the "Last modified" section. Your continued use of the Platform, following the notification of such amendments on our website, constitutes your acknowledgment and consent of such amendments to the Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the terms of such amendments.
